Our Law Firm Services

The field of personal injury law includes many types of claims resulting in many kinds of injuries.  The types of injuries for which we have obtained compensation for our clients include everything from minor sprains and strains and "whiplash" type injuries to serious fractures, burn injuries, traumatic amputations, brain injury, and death.

These injuries can occur in all sorts of situations.  Here are some of the types of injuries from a wide range of causes:

Auto Accidents

Including car crashes, car/bicycle collisions, car/pedestrian accidents, motorcycle accidents, accidents caused by drunk drivers, commercial driver's liability, negligent design of highways and intersections, etc.;

Premises Liability/Slip & Fall

Including falls caused by ice and snow, defective stairways, loose railings, dangerous “common areas” in apartment and condominium buildings, “potholes” or dangerously uneven surfaces in parking lots and driveways, wet/slippery floors, foreign substances or tripping hazards on floors in commercial buildings, inadequate lighting hiding other dangerous conditions, falling merchandise, building collapses, lead paint injuries, inadequate security, etc.;

DRAM Shop/Drunk Driving

i.e., the liability of a bar, restaurant, or social host for contributing to drunk driving crashes by over-serving alcohol to drivers;

Medical Negligence

Estimates are that some 90,000 to 200,000 people are killed every year by preventable mistakes in hospitals alone.  Countless more are injured by hospitals, or injured or killed by doctors outside of hospitals.

“Medical Malpractice” includes such things as serious medical complications because of negligently performed surgery, delayed diagnosis or failure to diagnose cancer or other progressive conditions, delayed treatment, treating the “wrong” condition, operating on the wrong body part, mishandling delivery, giving the wrong prescription, pharmacists filling a prescription incorrectly, abuse or neglect in a nursing home, etc.;

Medical Products That Cause Harm

Including Vioxx, Baxter Dialysis, Baycol, Ephedra, Fen-Phen, Lotronex, Propulsid, Rezulin, Zyprexa, Latex allergies, Sulzerhip implants, Sulzer knee implants, Zirconia Ceramic implants;

Product Liability

Can include any type of case in which a poorly-designed product, or a defectively manufactured product, causes serious injury or death, such as: power tools and machines with inadequate guarding; faulty electrical appliances that cause fire; contaminated food products causing bodily injury or food poisoning, negligent repair of a car or truck resulting in a crash (e.g., wheels that fall off after brake work); defective bicycles, bicycle components, or other consumer products that cause injury; dangerous toys causing choking hazards or other injury; furniture that collapses; flammable fabrics in children’s clothing; etc.;

Workplace Injuries

You may be entitled to Workers’ Compensation and possibly other remedies for injuries while on the job.  It could be anything from being in a car crash while making a delivery for your employer to suffering permanent nerve damage from being exposed to toxic fumes from machines where you work.

There are too many possibilities to list, so if you have any sort of work-related injury or illness, call to find out if you have a claim;

Injuries by Animals

State laws vary greatly, but generally people injured by animals, especially dogs and unusual types of “pets” are entitled to make a claim against the owner of that animal.  It doesn’t have to be an “attack;” even an overly friendly dog knocking a visitor down and causing injury renders the dog’s owner responsible;

Social Security Disability and Private Long-Term Disability Insurance Claims

If you are disabled for any reason, whether by an injury or an illness you may qualify.

If you feel you have been injured by someone else's negligence, please talk with one of our attorneys about it.
